The North American based automotive giant, General Motors, has recently announced a recall for the Chevrolet Cruze, Camaro, Sonic and Buick Verano because of a problem with the airbags.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 429 units of the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 1774 units of the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, 3,925 units of the Chevrolet Cruze sedans and 717 units of the 2012 Buick Verano will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers. The NHTSA says that the dual-stage driver’s airbags in the affected vehicles might not deploy during a crash.
If the problem with the vehicles’ airbags is ignored, this might lead to a crash or an injury. The recall is expected to start this month and owners of the above mentioned models will be contacted by GM. The fix will b made free of charge. Additional details on the affected vehicles are limited for the moment so we advise you to contact either GM or the NHTSA if you own one of the above mentioned cars.
