Recall roundup: Chrysler 200 for stalling problems image

Chrysler has recently issued a recall for the 200 models because of a stalling problem.

If you happen to be the owner of a Chrysler 200 you will not be too happy about this news as the North American based car manufacturer has recently announced a recall. According to the company, the affected vehicles are suffering from a condition which may lead the engine to stall or the gear to shift into neutral, increasing the risk of a crash and injury.

“FCA US LLC is conducting a voluntary safety recall to correct a condition in an estimated 77, 834 U.S.-market sedans that may lead to engine stall or gearshift to neutral. An investigation by FCA US revealed some electrical connectors were damaged when the supplier conducted post-production validation tests”, says the automaker in its official press release.

There are a total of 77,834 units of the Chrysler 200 which will be affected by the recall and all of them are from the 2015 model year. Out of these, there are 7,115 units found in Canada, 848 in Mexico, 19 outside the NAFTA region and the rest of them in the United States. Chrysler hasn’t provided an exact notification schedule at this point but owners of these affected vehicles will be contacted and the company’s dealers will be performing the necessary repairs / replacements free of charge.
