Recall roundup: Chrysler 200 vehicles image

Chrysler has recently issued a recall for the 200 vehicles because these may have a manufacturing issue which may prevent them from shifting into park.

The newest recall announced by Chrysler is affecting the 200 models and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem which may prevent them to shift into park solved. According to the car manufacturer, the number of affected vehicles is close to 26,000 and a lot of reports have been received from customers who are saying that they cannot shift into park.

“FCA US LLC is launching a recall of certain model-year 2015 cars to resolve manufacturing issues that may prevent the vehicles from shifting into park. Inconsistent assembly procedures at a supplier’s plant have been linked to five reports involving customers who could not shift their vehicles into park. Without park, a vehicle may be subject to inadvertent movement”, says the company in its official press release.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is apparently not aware of any related injuries or crashes and out of the total 26,000 affected units, 22,107 are found in the United States, 3,600 in Canada and 213 in Mexico. The carmaker will be notifying owners of these vehicles and the dealers will be replacing the transmissions if necessary at no charge. The recall is expected to begin soon but for any extra details on the topic, owners of the above mentioned models can contact FCA US LLC at 1 800 853 1403.
