The North American based automotive giant Chrysler has just announced another recall, this time for the Dodge Ram vehicles.
Things continue to go from bad to worse for Chrysler too as another recall has been issued by the company. According to the car manufacturer, this is affecting the Dodge Ram and the owners of this model will have to take a trip back to the dealers because of a clutch interlock switch failure. The National highway Traffic Safety Administration says that approximately 110,000 units of the pickup trucks will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers.
The affected models include the 2004 to 2006 model year Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks. Chrysler has received three vehicle owner complaints, one filled for the 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 and two for the 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. One complaint involved an accident when a child entered a vehicle and was able to start it without depressing the clutch, making the truck go forward and killing another child. The recall is expected to start soon and the necessary repairs will be made free of charge. Owners of these trucks can contact the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 for more details.
