Jaguar has recently issued a recall for its brand new F-Type because of a problem with the pop-up rear spoiler, which may fail.
Despite being introduced not too long ago and being declared one of the hottest rides money can buy these days, the Jaguar F-Type has begun its sales with some bad luck as the company has issued a recall for several units. According to the Australian automotive media, a total of seven Jaguar F-Type vehicles have been recalled across the country because of the pop-up rear spoiler which may fail.
According to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, the software which is controlling the actuation of the spoiler is apparently faulty at high speeds and it may fail to deploy, increasing the risk of an accident. The affected sports cars are all equipped with the 3.0 liter supercharged V6 engine and both coupe and convertible models are affected. The company’s dealers will be inspecting the vehicles and making the necessary repairs / replacements free of charge. For any extra details on the subject, Jaguar F-Type owners should contact their local Jaguar dealership.
