The Japanese based automaker Mitsubishi has recently announced a recall for the Mirage in Malaysia, because of a possible problem with braking.
According to the car manufacturer, a total of 1, 869 units of the Mitsubishi Mirage cars will be affected by this recall in Malaysia and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers because of imperfections found in the front wheel speed sensor, which might compromise the braking performance of the vehicles. No incidents on crashes or injuries have been reported, related to this issue, and the company says that this is a necessary safety measure.
The affected Mitsubishi Mirage vehicles have been sold in the country between the 6th of November, 2012, and the 31th of March, 2013. As a quick reminder, the entry-level GL Mirage is available in Malaysia from RM55,583, the GL CVT can be bought from RM60,453 and the CVT GS can be yours from RM63,375. The model is powered by a 1.2 liter 3A92 three-cylinder engine with MIVEC and DOHC, which is good for 78 PS at 6,000 rpm and 100 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The model is coming with digital air conditioner, smart keyless entry, push start button, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob and more.
