Morgan has recently announced a recall for the 3 Wheeler because of a problem with the brake fluid reservoir, which does not have a filling warning statement.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Morgan 3 Wheeler vehicles, produced in the 2012 and 2013 model year, will be affected by this problem. The NHTSA says that the brake fluid reservoir does not have a filling warning statement and this means that the vehicles fail to conform to the FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) number 122, “Motorcycle Brake Systems”. Owners of such vehicles will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem fixed.
Morgan says that owners of the affected 3 Wheeler vehicles will be notified by the company and its dealer network will apply a brake fluid reservoir filling warning label, free of charge. A notification schedule hasn’t been provided by the carmaker just yet but if you such a vehicle, from the previously mentioned model years, and you want to find out more about this recall, you can contact Morgan U.S. at 1-505-570-1845 or the NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236.
