The North American division of Nissan has issued a recall for the Armada and Titan vehicles because of a problem with their braking system.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that a total of 3,247 units of the 2013 Nissan Armada and 2013 Nissan Titan will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem with their braking system fixed. According to the feds, the affected models have been recalled because of a faulty brake master cylinder, which may occasionally reduce the braking power of the vehicles’ front brakes.
If this happens, the Armada and Titans stopping times will take longer and this will increase the risk of a crash and injury. The company’s dealership network will replace the master cylinder free of charge. Nissan will begin notifying owners soon. The affected Nissan Armada and Nissan Titan models have been produced between the 22nd of February, 2013, and the 3rd of May, 2013. If you want to find out more about this recall, you can contact either Nissan at 1-800-647-7261 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
