General Motors has announced a recall for certain Chevrolet and Buick models because of a problem with the vehicles’ airbags.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that owners of the Chevrolet Cruze, the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro and 2012 Buick Verano will have to take a trip back to the dealers because of a problem with the cars’ airbags. According to the NHTSA, a total of 429 units of the Camaro, 1,774 units of the Sonic, 3,925 units of the Cruze and 717 units of the Verano will be affected by this recall.
If the problem with the airbags is ignored, it might lead to a crash or to an injury. Chevy and Buick dealers have been informed and the fix will be made free of charge. The recall is expected to begin soon. Additional details on this recall remain unknown for the moment. If you own one of the vehicles mentioned above, our advice is to contact General Motors or the NHTSA for more info.
