Recall roundup: Several Ford vehicles for three different problems image

Ford has recently issued three different recalls for several vehicles because of some different problems which are affecting a lot of models across the globe.

According to the North American based automaker, the first recall announced is affecting 160,000 units of the 2013 and 2014 Ford Focus ST and Ford Focus Escape, because of bad wiring harnesses which can disrupt the signals travelling to the powertrain control module, which can lead to the check engine light, the reduced power and the stalling, eventually. The above mentioned models have been equipped with the 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engines.

Ford has also issued a recall for the Transit passenger vans, from the 2015 model year. No less than 1,300 vehicles have been affected in this case, along with another 600 Transit cargo versions, because of the windowless sliding doors which could open in case of a side impact. The dealers will be replacing the sealing washers on the passenger versions and add a reinforcement plate on the cargo vans. Last but not least, a total of 1,300 units of the Lincoln MK will be affected because of bubbles which may have formed during the production process of the windshields. No reports regarding crashes or injuries have been received, related to these problems.
