The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced a recall for some of its models, which also includes vehicles made by its luxury brand, Infiniti.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a total of 151,695 SUVs made by both Nissan and Infiniti will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem with the ABS fixed. The NHTSA says that the affected vehicles have an issue with the ABS brake pressure output software, which may lead to an increase stopping distance, and this may lead to a crash and / or injury.
The affected vehicles are the 2013-2014 Nissan Pathfinder, produced between the 18th of April, 2012, to the 20th of September, 2013, the 2013 Infiniti JX, made between the 15th of September, 2011, to the 16th of January, 2013, and the 2014 Infiniti QX60, made between the 17th of January, 2013, and the 20th of September, 2013. Owners of these models will soon be notified by Nissan and they will have to take their rides to the dealers, who will reprogram the brake system.
