Recall roundup: Toyota FJ Cruiser with TRD brake kit image

The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced a recall for the FJ Cruiser with the TRD brake kit because of an exterior brake tube which can get damaged and cause brake fluid to leak.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, case 655 units of the Toyota FJ Cruiser with the TRD (Toyota Racing Development) brake kit will be affected by this recall and their owners will have to take a trip back to the dealers in order to get the problem with the exterior brake tube fixed. The NHTSA is saying that the exterior brake tube can get damaged and cause brake fluid to leak, increasing the risk of crashes or / and injuries.

The feds are saying that the affected Toyota FJ Cruiser TRD are model years 2007 – 2012, with the TRD high performance braking kits part number PTR09-35070 or PTR09-35100. The company’s dealers will inspect and replace the outer brake with a modified one tube with no charge from the customers. The recall is expected to being soon.
