Toyota has officially issued a recall for several RAV4 vehicles because of a problem with the windshield wipers.
“In the involved vehicles, cialis water dripping onto the windshield wiper link can, buy over time, ambulance cause corrosion and wear at the wiper link joint. In some cases this could result in the separation of the wiper link from the wiper motor crank arm. If separation occurs, the windshield wipers could become inoperative, which could reduce driver visibility and increase the risk of a vehicle crash”, says the automaker in its official press release.
The affected Toyota RAV4 vehicles are from the 2009 to 2012 model years, in a number of 421,000 units, and from 2012 to 2014 model year, in approximately 2,500 vehicles. Owners of the affected models will be notified by Toyota via first class mail about this condition and a meeting will be scheduled with the local dealerships. The carmaker’s dealers will be then replacing the water channel, wiper link and wiper motor crank arm with brand new ones. This operation will be performed free of charge to the owners. Toyota hasn’t provided an exact notification schedule for this particular recall but it is expected to begin soon.
