Renault Alpine test mule spied on the Nurburgring image

The first spy images with the new Alpine model have been recently taken on the Nurburgring, where the sports car has been spotted testing.

The revival of the Alpine brand, signed by Renault, is no longer a surprise for anyone and the carmaker has already announced an official collaboration with Caterham, which will result in a new sports car. The model in question has been caught on camera recently, by our spy photographers, on the famous German track, the Nurburgring, where it was being tested. The new Alpine test mule was hiding under a Lotus Exige body but the final production version of the car is expected to look different.

The brand new Renault Alpine test mule is expected to make its way onto the market by the end of 2015. The model in question is set to rival the Porsche Boxster and the Audi TT, and it should carry a price tag of approximately 60,000 euros. The new Alpine vehicle is believed to use a 2-liter turbo engine once it will arrive, but Caterham wants its very own 1.6 liter turbo to make its way under the hood of the model. Additional details on the new Alpine sports car are limited for the moment.
