The French based automaker Renault is planning to reveal its latest creation, the Alpine ZAR concept car, at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Even if there is no official word from the car manufacturer just yet on the Renault Alpine ZAR concept, the guys at autoblog.nl are saying that this will be officially presented to the public at the Monaco Grand Prix. According to our source, the Renault Alpine ZAR concept will be a working prototype which will celebrate A100’s 50th anniversary. Rumors are saying that the Renault Alpine ZAR concept might be an electric vehicle or even based on the powerful Nissan GT-R. If the model will be well received, it will eventually be shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and at the 2012 Paris Motor Show this autumn.
The Renault Alpine ZAR concept might be the first step into reviving the company’s Alpine Brand, which was announced back in late 2011 y the second man in hierarchy, Carlos Tavares. Initial rumors were saying that the new Alpine models won’t be as “aggressive” as their predecessors but they will try to become iconic with prestige and elegance, something similar to Citroen’s DS lineup. The first production versions of the Alpine brand are expected to hit the market in 2013, but the automaker might speed up the process.
