A rendering with the Renault Captur RS has recently hit the web and it might actually provide us with a first look into what may become a top of the line version of the model.
Patrice Ratti, the Renault Sport Technologies CEO, has recently announced that the French based automaker is planning to expand the RS lineup, but didn’t reveal which models will receive more powerful versions so the new Captur crossover may have the chance to get an RS variant too. The announcement of a Renault Captur RS hasn’t been made official just yet and its faith might be discussed as we speak.
The image posted above represents a new rendering of the Renault Captur RS and we must admit that it looks quite appealing, with its new front bumper with larger air intakes, with the LED daytime running lights, with the carbon fiber accents and the unique alloy wheels. As for the engine which may be found under its hood, chances are that this might be the same one from the new Clio RS generations, the 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged, which is good for 197 HP and 240 Nm of torque. In the hot hatch, the unit is mated to the EDC six-speed with paddle shifters.
