The local division of the French automaker has revealed the new Zoe ZE 40 will become available on the island starting January 2017 with the 41 kWh battery pack next to the regular 22 kWh model.
The mainstream Zoe ZE electric car – a dedicated model, just like the Nissan Leaf – has had great success across the European market, commending top sales in the segment. Now the company aims to solidify the lead by releasing a new version with one of the best ranges – 250 miles, though Renault itself does point out the real-world range is of between 186 miles and 124 miles in adverse weather conditions. The competition is spread out across the market – with the Nissan Leaf packing a 30kWh battery and the 2017 e-Golf using a 35.8 kWh layout.
In the UK every retail purchase brings a 7kW fast-charging wall-box with free home installation and there’s also a new Signature Nav trim with leather upholstery, heated front seats, a seven-speaker BOSE audio system, rear parking camera, 16-inch ‘Grey Shadow’ alloy wheels – at £19,895. The base price for the Zoe starts at £13,995 and also new for 2017 are the three new colors – Mars Red, Titanium Grey and Ytrium Grey.
