Renault has announced its plans to unveil the Duster Detour Concept next week, during the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show.
Renault is playing in the big boys league and in order to make a good appearance on the African continent, the French based automaker has created a one-off vehicle. The model in question is named the Duster Detour and it represents a concept car based on the recently facelifted version of the Dacia / Renault Duster. The model in question was made by Renault Design Central Europe in collaboration with a Johannesburg-based studio.
“This fun and futuristic show-car couldn’t have come at a better time, following the introduction of the ground-breaking Renault Duster range in mid-September. We’ve received an amazing response from potential buyers who have flooded our website and social network platforms to discover Duster’s line-up. Our dealers are extremely busy organizing hundreds of test drives”, said the Renault South Africa product manager, Floyd Ramabulana.
The new Renault Duster Detour Concept will receive a two-tone pearl yellow and matte grey finish for the body, LED technology for the taillights, fog lights moved under the front grille, five-spoke black alloy wheels with orange accents and a revised cabin. Additional details on the Renault Duster Detour Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Johannesburg Motor Show, on the 16th of October.
