Renault has recently pulled the wraps off the so-called Duster Detour Concept in South Africa, during the Johannesburg International Motor Show.
The brand new Renault Duster Detour Concept is ending up in our news once again, for the second time, right after the French based automaker has released a teaser image with the model just a week ago, this time with the one-off low-cost SUV making its public debut during the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show, in South Africa.
“Following the introduction of the ground-breaking Renault Duster range in mid-September, the funky, futuristic Detour SUV couldn’t have come at a better time. We’ve received an amazing response from potential buyers who have flooded our website and social network platforms to discover Duster’s line-up. Our dealers are extremely busy organizing hundreds of test drives”, said the Product Manager at Renault South Africa, Floyd Ramabulana.
The new Renault Duster Detour Concept has an increased ride height and it’s coming with a pearl yellow and matte grey paint job, complemented by the tinted windows and the black pillar masks. The model has been also fitted with widened wheel arches, to make room for the 18-inch alloy rims, wrapped in the all-terrain tires. The Duster Detour is also getting daytime running lights, special headlight clusters, a chrome Renault diamond logo on the custom front grille, a roof-mounted spoiler, black LED taillights, a diffuser, a double exhaust arrangement and more tweaks. No details have been released on Renault offering some of these features as a package for the regular Duster in the future.
