Renault’s newest creation has been called the Duster Oroch and it has been introduced recently on the South American automotive market.
Following some teasers released over the past few weeks, the brand new Renault Duster Oroch is finally here as the carmaker has officially pulled the wraps off its body. The Duster Oroch will be the Renault pickup truck version of the popular budget SUV and it is currently aimed towards the South American automotive market but rumor has it that it might be introduced in Europe too, in the near future, with Dacia badges all over its body.
This new model, Renault’s first pickup, is the next step in Renault’s globalization strategy. With Renault Duster Oroch, the brand is launching its offensive in the competitive pickup segment”, said Ashwani Gupta, Renault’s Global Head of Light Commercial Vehicles.
The Renault Duster Oroch is coming with the familiar front fascia, with the short rear bed, the muscular fenders, the roof rails, the 16-inch wheels and an interior design offered with a 5-seat layout. The rear bed is said to be able to carry up to 500 kg and it stands at 1.3 meters long. The model in question is also offering an evolved version of the MediaNav infotainment system, as the company is stating. As far as the engine lineup goes, the Renault Duster Oroch will be coming with the 1.6 liter and the 2.0 liter petrol burners. That’s about all we’ve got on the new budget pickup truck but more details are expected to be announced soon.
