A new set of images with the recently unveiled Renault Kadjar has been released by the carmaker.
The company’s first compact crossover aimed towards the C-segment is called the Kadjar and it has been officially unveiled just a day ago. The model in question will be offered for sale across Europe, in African and Mediterranean Basin countries and in China. This is aimed, according to the car manufacturer, towards customers who are looking for an upgrade from the current Megane or Captur and this will be the company’s first ever model to be assembled in China.
The Renault Kadjar can be considered a competitor for the Nissan Qashqai as this has a similar size and it is also riding on the CMF platform, the same one used on its Japanese cousin. Another first for Renault is the addition of the all-wheel drive configuration, but don’t expect this in standard, because cheaper versions will be offered with a two-wheel drive layout.
The 2016 Renault Kadjar has received some design cues from the appealing DeZir Concept and we can also see a rear end similar to its smaller brother, the Clio. These are being completed by the underbody protection and the 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior design of the crossover is bringing some high quality materials and the R-Link 2 multimedia system. More details on the model, including its engine lineup and pricing, are limited for the moment and will be announced next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, when it will be making its public debut.
