Renault has officially announced the engine lineup of the brand new Kadjar, the company’s new compact crossover.
After being officially unveiled just a few weeks ago, the brand new Renault Kadjar is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker announcing the first details on the engine lineup. Future buyers of the compact crossover will have to choose between the TCe 1.2 liter petrol engine which is rated at 130 HP while diesel lovers will be able to choose between the 1.5 liter and the 1.6 liter dCi diesels, with 110 HP and with 130 HP, respectively. This will be the first time when the 110 dCi will be offered with EDC double clutch transmission, as an option, along with the standard manual gearbox.
This will also be the only automatic version of the Renault Kadjar and also the only one to emit lower than 100 g/km of CO2. The 1.6 liter diesel burner will become available in either front-wheel or four-wheel drive. Customers who aren’t looking for the 4×4 can get the 4×2 Extended Grip, which is allowing FWD models to gain a better grip even without the four-wheel drive system. This has been already used on the Scenic. On the local market, the Renault Kadjar has a starting price of 22,990 euros and it is being offered in four trim levels, the Life, the Zen, the Business and the Intens, along with the Edition One limited version.
