The Renault Kadjar has been officially unveiled by the French based automaker as the model will be making its public debut next month, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The newest model to be signed by Renault is named the Kadjar and this is a new compact crossover, larger than the current Captur, which will enter the C-segment. The vehicle will be offered for sale in Europe, African and Mediterranean Basin countries starting this summer and it will be followed by its debut in the United Kingdom and China. Renault says that this brand new crossover is aimed towards customers who are looking to upgrade from their Captur or Megane and it will also be the first company’s model to be put together in China.
The 2016 Renault Kadjar is sharing the same design cues with the DeZir Concept and we can also mention some lines inspired from its smaller brother, the Captur, and the rear end similar to a Clio. Its looks are being completed by the underbody protection and the 19-inch alloy wheels. The interior design is offering the R-Link 2 multimedia system, a new look compared to other Renault vehicles and some high quality materials. The Renault Kadjar is riding on the CMF platform which is also used on the Nissan Qashqai and it will become available in either two-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configuration. No details on the engine lineup have been announced yet or on its pricing, but these will be made public in Geneva, next month.
