Renault has officially introduced the Kadjar compact crossover a few weeks back and now we get to see it in an RS version.
The chances of Renault adopting an RS version of the Kadjar are quite limited but that doesn’t mean that the model in question has no chances of hitting the assembly line. The vehicle pictured below has been rendered recently by X-Tomi Design and it has received an appealing body kit, with a more aggressive front bumper, a new rear bumper, wider wheel arches and several other tweaks. The crossover is also getting larger wheels and the RS badge.
If Renault will decide on building such a model, than the same 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 215 HP, from the Nissan Juke Nismo RS, might be found under its hood, but don’t say “no” to the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo from the Megane RS, which is capable of producing 275 HP, along with an updated suspension system, a tweaked chassis, better brakes and several other goodies.
The standard version of the Kadjar is riding on the CMF platform, the same one used on the Nissan Qashqai, and it is bringing a design similar to the one of the DeZir Concept. We can also mention the underbody protection and the 19-inch alloy wheels, along with the R-Link 2 multimedia system, the high quality materials used throughout the cabin and much more. We have no clue on what engine lineup this will get but details like these will be announced in Geneva, next month, when the model will be making its public debut.
