The French automaker has been fully committed to the green movement from the moment they announced their electric range – and that has never been clearer than now.
During the Paris Motor Show this October they presented the new which can take the model up to 250 miles (400 kilometers) on a charge. And Renault is not among the automakers promising something and then claiming it can deliver – also offering the real world condition autonomy, which is still great at 186 miles (300 km). Now the company is looking to also capitalize on the latest technical advancements in the cargo segment, proposing the enw Kangoo ZE as the most efficient in its class. Fresh for the 2017 model year, the company’s new Kangoo Z.E. electric van will go for a real-world range of 124 miles.
The model is being released into the world t the 2017 European Motor Show in Brussels, Belgium, next month and the upgrades include new battery technology as well as a bigger 41-kilowatt electric motor. The powertrain is actually taken directly from the new Zoe ZE 40. The Kangoo also ups its official NEDC range from 106 miles to 168 miles – as the 124 miles rating is the “real-world range.” It’s now above the competition – both the Nissan e-NV200 and the Citroen Berlingo offer 106 miles (170 kilometers) on a single charge.
