The new Renault Kwid Concept has been officially unveiled during the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo, in India, in a world premiere.
Following a single teaser released just a week ago, Renault has officially pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the new Kwid Concept. The model in question is a funky crossover and it’s showing the company’s interest in developing such a model in the C-segment. According to the car manufacturer, the Renault Kwid Concept has been developed with input from Renault Design India, and it has received a two-tone grey and yellow body, large alloy wheels, increased ride height and others.
Step inside the cabin and you will see the seats suspended on a solid base and controls for the rear passengers air conditioning fitted on the back of the driver’s seat. Other goodies include the Flying Companion and others. Power to the new Renault Kwid Concept is being provided by a 1.2 liter turbocharged gasoline burner, which is mated to the dual-clutch EDC transmission, sending power to the front-wheel drive. No plans for putting the new Renault Kwid in production have been announced yet and chances are that we will see this concept on the Old Continent too, probably during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, next month.
