The newest addition to the Renault lineup is called the KWID and it has been officially unveiled by the French based automaker.
Previously referred to as the Kayou, the brand new Renault KWID is finally here as the model has been unveiled, over the web for the moment. In case you have been wondering what this actually really is, we will tell you that it is nothing more than a simple hatchback with some crossover influences, with plastic body cladding and with a raised suspension system, providing it with 180 mm of ground clearance. If you still aren’t that convinced in its position on the market, considering the fact that Renault is still offering the Kadjar and the Captur, we will tell you that this is aimed towards the A-segment for crossovers.
Yes, it wasn’t a typo, the A-segment, so this will not be affecting the sales of the aforementioned models. The new Renault KWID stands at 3,68 meters in length and it is 1.58 meters wide. The vehicle has a simple but function cabin with the digital instrument cluster and with the 7-inch touch screen display, amongst others. The carmaker is stating that the crossover has the biggest interior space and luggage capacity in its class. Power to it is being provided by a 0.8 liter engine, which is connected to the 5-speed manual transmission. These are the only technical details released by the company at this time. The Renault KWID will be aimed towards the Indian market but since this is a global vehicle, it will also be offered for sale in other countries too.
