Renault Lodgy to be launched in India next year image

Renault will be introducing its new Lodgy MPV to the Indian sub-continent next year, when the model is expected to be basically identical to the Dacia model.

The Lodgy will be offered on a new market starting from early 2015 as the model in question will be arriving in India. The MPV will be sold with the Renault badges all over its body and it’s expected to be influenced, in its grille, by the facelifted Koleos and Fluence. The local automotive media is stating that the Lodgy will probably received a modified cabin, with better materials, but chances are that cheaper materials will be used on the model in order to drop its price and make it attractive to Indians.

The Lodgy has been introduced, as a Dacia model, back in 2012, and it’s coming in a five-door MPV body style, with a front engine and front-wheel drive layout. The Dacia Lodgy stands at 4,498 mm in length, 1,751 mm in width and 1,680 mm in height, weighing in at between 1,165 and 1,337 kg. The engine lineup available for the model includes the 1.2 liter TCe, the 1.6 liter petrol and the 1.5 liter dCi. The Lodgy can be had in either a five- or a seven-seat configuration.
