The Renault Megane GT220 has been officially unveiled by the French based automaker as the model will go on sale soon.
The newest addition to the Renault Megane family is this Megane GT220 which is available in hatchback, coupe and Sport Tourer versions, as the company is stating. The model in question has received a new front bumper with a new central air intake, a new aerodynamic diffuser, a lower section of the rear bumper finished in the body color and several other tweaks which will put some space between it and its standard brothers.
Besides the modifications mentioned above, the new Renault Megane GT220 is also bringing the 320 mm ventilated front brake discs and the 260 mm solid rear discs, the progressive servo assistance, the 18-inch Serdard alloy wheels, the Renaultsport engineered chassis and so on. In the cabin we can find the sport seats, the leather wrapped steering wheel, the stitching details, the aluminum pedals, polished carbon finish for the outer air vent surrounds, dashboard and door handle pulls.
Some of the goodies available for this car include the LED daytime running lights, the speed limiter, the cruiser control, automatic headlights, Renault R-Link satellite navigation system, Bluetooth, USB, rearview camera, 3D Arkamys sound system, dual zone climate control Vision System and so on.
Under its hood we can find the 2.0 liter 16-valve turbocharged petrol burner, which is capable of producing no less than 220 HP (162 kW) at 4,750 rpm and 340 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque available at 2,400 rpm. The unit is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the Megane GT220 needs 7.6 seconds and top speed stands at 240 km/h (149 mph).
