A few renderings with the future generation of the Renault Megane are showing us how the model may look like, based on newer models made by the company.
While one of its main rivals, the Volkswagen Golf, is already in its seventh generation, the Renault Megane is currently in the third one, since 2008, and even if it has received a facelift and several extra tweaks, it still needs a replacement. According to a recent report, the model in question is just around the corner and it is believed to be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September, but this hasn’t been confirmed at this time.
The Renault Megane is one crucial model made by the company as it is aimed towards models such as the Opel Astra, the Volkswagen Golf or the Ford Focus, so getting it right is extremely important, considering the fact that the current generation isn’t bad at all. Rumor has it that the Renault Megane IV will be riding on a completely new platform, co-developed with Nissan, and it should be getting an updated engine range which will also include the range-topping Renaultsport model.
The images posted below are nothing more than simple renderings of the car and they have been based on newer models in the company’s lineup. Keep in mind that the final product may look quite different than the one pictured here but even so, the images are a good exercise. No more details are known on the fourth generation of the Megane but these may be announced at the Frankfurt automotive event, this September.
