The Renault Megane R.S. 265 has been recently launched in Australia where the hot hatch has a base starting price set at 42, 640 AUD.

According to the French based automaker, the standard version of the Renault Megane R.S. 265 is getting features like the limited slip differential or the fresh set of 18-inch black alloy wheels but, as an option, the model can be fitted with the R.S. Red Design Pack, which is adding the side protective moldings, the rear diffuser or the red pin-stripping for the F1 blade. The front fascia of the French hot hatch is getting darkened headlamps, chrome highlights and two rows of six LEDs.

Renault is saying that the Megane R.S. 265 is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine which is developing a total output of 265 horsepower and a peak torque of 265 lb-ft (360 Nm of torque), which is from where the hot hatch gets the “265” in its name. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and it’s producing an extra 15 HP and 20 Nm of torque when compared to the Megane R.S. 250. Renault says that in Australia, the Megane R.S. 265 has a base starting price of AUD42,640.
