The brand new Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy has just joined the Gumball 3000 rally in Paris.
Renault’s newest creation, the Megane RS 275 Trophy, couldn’t resist showing off at the 2014 Gumball 3000 rally as the hot hatch has joined the participants in Paris. The model in question is the fastest front-wheel drive road-going car on the Nurburgring and it managed to become even faster on the track than much more expensive models such as the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and even the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. This is definitely saying something about what it can do.
The Renault Megane RS 275 Trophy has the Cup Chassis, an Akrapovic exhaust system, a limited slip differential, Ohlins Road and Track dampers with steel springs and it is riding on 19-inch black Speedline Turini wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, created by Michelin and Renault Sport. The cabin is getting the leather and Alcantara Recaro bucket seats, Renault Sport badging, Zamac gear lever knob, Alcantara steering wheel and more. Power is being provided by a 2.0L unit with 275 HP at 5,500 rpm and 360 Nm of torque, available between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm. The average fuel consumption stands at just 7.5L / 100km. Prices for the hot hatch start at 38,000 euros.
