Renault Megane RS265 gets priced in Australia

Renault has introduced the Megane RS265 to Australia where the hot hatch will go on sale later on this month from 43,990 AUD.

The 2014 Renault Megane RS265 is now 1,350 AUD more expensive than the old entry-level model while the Cup Premium version has been introduced, from 47,990 AUD, to replace the 47,140 AUD Trophy. The model in question is coming with the company’s new design identity, with the cleaner front bumper, F1 inspired aero blade, LED daytime running lights, new black grille wraps around the Renault badge and more.

The vehicle is also adding the 7.0-inch touch screen for the R-Link infotainment system, the satellite navigation system, the RS monitor system which is allowing driver to record the power and torque curves, the lateral and longitudinal acceleration forces and more via USB. Other features include the rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and push button start, Renault Sport front seats and seatbelts, 18-inch Tibor alloy wheels and others.

Power is being provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which is producing a total output of 195 kW, at 5,500 rpm, and it has a peak torque of 360 Nm, available at 3,000 rpm. The average fuel consumption stands at 7.5 liters / 100 km. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is made in 6.0 seconds and top speed stands at 255 km/h.
