The French based automaker Renault is planning to introduce its Pulse model on the Indian auto market by presenting it at the upcoming New Delhi Auto Expo.
Even if the small French model isn’t what you can call “new”, after already being launched on October 29, 2011, the vehicle is going to debut on a whole new level, with its presence being announced for the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo. Renault says that the Pulse model won’t be sold in Europe in order to avoid entering in a direct competition with its brother, the Nissan Micra, and the vehicle will be introduced to the Indian auto market along with the Koleos and the Fluence.
The Renault Pulse is being powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder diesel engine which is developing a total output of 64 horsepower at 4.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 160 Nm available at 2.000 rpm. The Pulse can accommodate five occupants and it’s coming with a decent looking dashboard, with HVAC controls, 4 AC vents, a five-speed manual transmission, five-spoke rims wrapped in 165/60/15 Bridgestone tires, ABS with EBD and that’s about it. We won’t talk about its performance because the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes about 15 seconds and its top speed is 160 km/h. There’s no official word on the price tag yet.
