The French based automaker Renault has recently pulled the wraps off the Scenic XMOD, a crossover-style version of the regular Scenic, which it will replace.
According to the car manufacturer, the Renault Scenic XMOD is based on the outgoing version and the model is coming with a new front bumper, with roof bars, with a redesigned rear bumper and with new alloy wheels, all of these contributing to that off-road looks of the model. Renault says that the Scenic XMOD is a front-wheel drive car but thanks to its new Grip Xtend traction control system, the model’s performance has been improved.
The design language from the Renault Scenic XMOD will be adopted by other models in the automaker’s lineup and it was first seen on the new generation of the Clio. Renault says that both the Scenic XMOD and the Grand Scenic will get the new R-Link infotainment system. Additional details on the Renault Scenic XMOD are limited for the moment but the model will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. More details on the vehicle will be announced during the Swiss automotive event in March.
