Someone out there really loves the vans at Renault, with the French automaker preparing the Sport+ pack that comes with a range of cool amenities – though only British will be able to purchase it.
Over in the United Kingdom, the Trafic will be granted this special package if the owner decides to churn out 995 pounds excluding VAT. It’s not entirely cheap but word around the block says that having a red stripe will grant you the felling you engine has been added some ten horsepower – so the Trafic will be one feisty van – at least in theory. Never mind this, the Sport+ comes with its own body kit that is rooted into the Renaultsport racing world and will deliver new front and rear spoilers, front fog-light surrounds, as well as side decals. The Renault Trafic will now be a lot more exclusive now than its sister architecture model – the Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro. We also noticed the LED daytime running lights which have become standard, which could explain at least partially why it’s rather costly to begin with.
The new Sport+ pack has been offered as an option to all customers looking to acquire any version of the Trafic, which is also available with a total of ten body shades – the side stripping meanwhile will be offered in black, red or white. In the UK you can have the Trafic commercial vehicle from 18,245 pounds and will come with three body options – panel van, crew van and passenger van. It’s the first big Renault commercial vehicle to come equipped with the new development of the 1.6 dCi engine, available in single or double turbo versions and delivering a fuel economy of up to 50.4mpg (NEDC Combined).
