The Color Run 5k events are being sponsored by Renault and the French automaker has decided to also show its support by introducing a happy-looking Twingo special series.
Starting off as aTwingo Play (note the careful hint?), the new limited-run model packs additional bona fide amenities to make sure you’re getting this is a special edition. The automaker has treated its already cut city car to an electric panoramic sunroof, unique floor mats, 15-inch “Exception” alloys, and a plethora of Exterior Touch and Interior Style packages to make sure everything is in order. This is besides what you already had as a standard items, included among them electric front windows, daytime running lights, DAB digital radio, along with AUX & USB connectivity. Without sporting a built-in navigation system, the model still has the R&GO app which can make use of any compatible smartphone to make it the infotainment hub with support for navigation. The Twingo hues are all there, including the Ultraviolet paint and they can be hooked to decals for even more personalization choices.
The only powertrain available for the Twingo THE COLOR RUN is a naturally-aspirated 1.0-liter, three-cylinder engine with 70 horsepower (52 kilowatts). It will boast a combined fuel economy of 47.1 mpg (4.9 liters / 100 km) with corresponding CO2 emissions of just 112 g/km. If this is too little for you, you’re in for a wait, as the recently outed Twingo GT with 100 hp will go on sale later before the year ends. The special edition Twingo can already be ordered and pricing starts at £10,495, as this is a special edition for the UK celebrating the Yellow Color Zone of the UK series.
