The French automaker has officially unveiled online the all new generation Scenic MPV after earlier we caught wind of a leaked picture – the world premiere will take place next week during the Geneva Motor Show.
The brand new Scenic is a stylish MPV that seems very close to the lines of the Captur and Kadjar crossovers and people might actually ask dealers if they also come in all-wheel drive (maybe a Scenic RX4 will). Anyways, the latest design language is carefully implemented on the Scenic as well – with Captur inspirations here and there – while the flagship version will also be featuring the C-shaped full LED headlights that premiere on the fourth generation model. The Scenic will be using the CMF-C platform and will have the same engine options as the ones included with the new Megane. The petrol roster includes the turbocharged four-cylinder 1.2-liter and the diesel side will have the well known 1.5- and 1.6-liter dCi units. Reports are also panning a hybrid version packing a diesel engine for enhanced fuel economy, but that one will come later on during the life cycle.
There are no details available yet about the Scenic also deploying the all-wheel steering – as seen in the larger Espace, new Megane GT and Talisman. There are no interior photos available yet, but we’re almost sure the dashboard design will closely mirror the layout of the new Megane. As such the top of the line version will be packing the R-Link 2 infotainment system with a portrait-style 8.7-inch touchscreen display.
