The French manufacturer is playing a game of puzzle with us – giving us several details about the all-new generation of the Megane RS hot hatchback.
The automaker has previously released pictures with the RS undergoing cold weather testing – which sounds like a great idea right now as the summer has kicked off – and also revealed that both leisure fans and purists can find something in the Megane RS, offered with both a comfortable EDC dual-clutch automatic and the traditional manual gearbox. The company has also confirmed the proprietary “4CONTROL” badge on the B-pillar will also arrive on the compact five-door-only performance guru from Renaultsport – meaning it will use the four-wheel steering system.
More so, the firm has stated that it will use an upgraded version of the 4WS setup seen on the automatic-only GT version, specially designed for the highly anticipated flagship member of the Megane family. “Renault Sport engineers have specifically calibrated the system to take the car’s performance to new limits thanks to exceptional agility and cornering stability at higher speeds.” More so, the all-new Megane RS will be blessed with a choice of Sport or Cup chassis. The first will be the one with optimal balance between a track car and one that can be daily driven on public roads. The latter will try to make it the ultimate track hot hatch, and we’ll get the whole puzzle resolved on September 12 when the official released has been previewed.
