The new Twingo R.S. has been recently unveiled by Renault and the model is promising low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions combined with the Renault Sport drive pleasure.
The new Renault Twingo R.S. is finally here and the French based automaker has just announced that the model will be available for booking in its local country starting from February 20, 2012. Besides France, the Renault Twingo R.S. will be available in 20 other countries and its starting price has been set at 16,900 euros. The new model has been developed to recall Renault’s success in Formula 1, as the automaker is saying in its official press release, and the vehicle is coming with features like chrome inserts, white top of the steering wheel, cushions, seat backs, rev-counter and manual climate controls, leather trim and 17 inch black wheels.
Renault is once again proving that it’s behind the competition by launching the Twingo R.S. with a 1.6 liter 16V naturally aspirated engine, which is generating 133 horsepower at 6.750 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 4.400 rpm. But even so, the small hatch has an average fuel consumption of 6.5 liters / 100km, a 3 percent improvement, and the CO2 emissions are down to 150 g/km. The new Renault Twingo R.S. will be available in markets outside France starting from mid-March 2012.
