The Renault Twizy is being brought to the United States under a different name: Nissan New Mobility Concept.
Renault has managed to take the world of electric cars to a whole new level with the Twizy, making a small and fun vehicle with a very cheap price compared to other electric vehicles. This has been made but dropping all unnecessary things from it and if you were craving for driving one over-seas, than you are all covered by Nissan, which has introduced a rebadged New Mobility Concept.
“As large cities continue to grow into megacities globally, we need to understand how transportation is changing and look ahead to anticipate what transportation needs will look like in the future,” said Rachel Nguyen, executive director, Nissan Future Lab. “Scoot Networks is an ideal partner in this research project because they are fulfilling a need that has emerged in the San Francisco market, and they share a similar commitment to zero-emissions mobility.”
The Nissan New Mobility Concept will become a member of Scoot Networks mobility service, which is also known as the Scoot Quad, and it will become available for rent in San Francisco. Those interested in booking a ride will have to join the Scoot and use the Scoot Networks app to find the Scoot Quad near them. This can be rented for 8 USD hourly or 80 USD daily and it has a range of approximately 40 miles and a top speed of 25 mph.
