The French based automaker Renault has recently introduced a new version of the Twizy, which is named the Twizy Cargo.
The newest model in Renault’s lineup is based on the Twizy and it’s actually a new version of the small electric car, which is wearing the Twizy Cargo name. The model in question should appeal to business owners and it has an upgraded interior with the rear seat jettisoned in order to increase the cargo capacity and the total boot space now stands at 180 liter (6.3 cubic feet). These can be accessed by a new rear door which is watertight and it opens at 90 degrees.
“Twizy, Europe’s best selling electric vehicle, always turns heads. Its qualities are clear to business users, since 60% of buyers are companies. A highly driveable car, uniquely easy to use and with running costs of virtually zero, Twizy is the ideal companion for business users”, said Renault in its official press release.
The new Renault Twizy Cargo 45 LIFE MA L6e is getting a 5 HP (4 kW) electric motor under its hood, which is allowing it to reach a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph). The LIFE MB L7e will provide 17 HP (12 kW) and its top speed will be electronically limited to 80 km/h (50 mph). The real world range of the model stands between 50-80 km (31-50 miles). Prices for the Twizy Cargo start at 6,750 euros, without VAT and battery rental fees, in France.
