Renault has recently announced that the all-new Zoe electric car will be soon launched in Australia.
After being officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Renault Zoe electric vehicle is once again placed into the spotlights, this time by the automaker which is announcing its Australian debut too. According to the French based car manufacturer, the Renault Zoe electric vehicle will have a starting price of 15,700 euros on the Old Continent for the entry-level version, but there is no official word yet on the model’s pricing in Australia.
“Zoe represents the future of Renault. It embodies our new design language, showcases, our technological excellence and heralds a new era in motoring. And it has been designed to be as affordable as possible. I look forward to being able to offer Zoe to Australian market in the future”, said the Renault Australia managing director, Justin Hocevar.
The Renault Zoe is expected to be offered in three trim levels, the Life, the Zen and the Intens, with the latter being priced at 17,500 euros in Europe. The Renault Zoe has a driving range of 210 km, according to the NEDC cycle, but the car manufacturer says that the real world range in just 100 km in cold conditions and 150 km in mild weather. The Zoe is the first EV which can be charged at any power level up to 43kW in between 30 minutes and 9 hours, with the Chameleon charger, but with the fast-charge stations, the model can be charged in about one hour at 22kW.
