The production version of the Renault Zoe has recently leaked on the internet, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.
Even if the French based automaker didn’t say anything about the production version of the Renault Zoe, a photo of the model has been published by the Danish website fdm.dk. As you can see from the image posted above, the production version of the Renault Zoe looks pretty similar to the concept car which made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2010, with its LED headlamps, streamlined mirrors and front grille.
The Renault Zoe is expected to outsell the Fluence ZE electric vehicle and the production version of the model is developed on a new chassis, which has been dedicated for electric powertrain. The lithium-ion batteries in the Renault Zoe are placed in the floor, offering the model a lower center of gravity and not affecting its storage spaces. The new Renault Zoe is about 4 meters long, 1.6 meters tall and it has a wheelbase of 2.55 meters. The starting price of the model is expected to be set at around 23,000 euros. More details on the production version of the Renault Zoe will be announced at the Geneva Motor Show.
