The French based automaker Renault is planning to introduce a brand new Renaultsport Clio Gordini, which is expected to make its way onto the market sometimes next year.
There is no official announcement on the new Renaultsport Clio Gordini but rumors are saying that the model in question will get a Cup chassis, which will be lowered by 10 mm, a Blue Gordini finish on the body with the Glacier White stripes, white or black side mirror casings, Recaro Sportster seats in the cabin wrapped in Alcantara or leather with white stitching and the Gordini embroidered logo, alloy pedals, carbon fiber inserts, black or blue seatbelts, upgraded steering wheel and Gordini floor mats, amongst others.
As for the most important part of the model, the engine, this should be a 1.6 liter turbocharged unit, which will produce a total output of 230 HP (169 kW) and 285 Nm of torque (210 lb-ft). This means 30 HP (22 kW) and 51 Nm (33 lb-ft) than the standard Clio RS. The new Renaultsport Clio Gordini will also lose approximately 25 kg. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint should be done in 5.9 seconds and top speed will stand at 250 km/h (155 mph).
