A new rendering with the Audi Q1, or the Q Junior, depending on what it will be called, has recently hit the web.
In case you have been wondering what the upcoming Audi Q1 / Q Junior will be looking like once it will be ready for its future customers, than the photo posted above can answer some of your questions. The image is nothing more than a simple rendering, which has been put together by our friends from TopSpeed, but we may be looking towards the design of the upcoming small crossover. The entry-level crossover has a rounded body style with a new front grille, slender LED headlights, wide front fenders, some underbody protection and a fresh set of large wheels.
The overall design of the vehicle is making it look like a smaller version of the Q7 and this was the idea behind it too. Rumor has it that the model will be introduced sometimes in 2016 and this should be riding on the MQB-A0 platform, the same one which will be used on the next generation of the A1. As far as the engine lineup goes, chances are we will see 3- and 4-cylinder gasoline and diesel turbocharged units under the hood, connected to the S tronic transmission. Expect a manual version too, which will be offered as standard, along with front-wheel drive, as the Quattro all-wheel drive will be offered as an option. Additional details on the Audi Q1 / Q Junior are limited at this time.
