Along with this, the General Motors will also launch its Roadmap for the Sustainable Mobility. This will be featured in the first of a series of 6 forums as the Pathway to Sustainable Mobility. This event will be held of May 26, 2010 and no doubt, will be on the center stage of GM.
Several marking figures who belong to the industry will attend the event. As per this, Elizabeth Deakin, who is the director of the Transportation Research Center; John Miles, the Chairman of the Board of the Arup Group; and Feng Fei, director general of Industry and Economy at the Development Research Center will attend this event. While marking the statements, the General Motors China Group President and Managing Director Kevin Wale has said that by 2030, nearly 60 percent of the world’s population will live in cities. This will put enormous pressure on urban mobility in the form of pollution, congestion, energy security and traffic safety.
Kevin Wale further added in a statement that through the Sustainable Urban Mobility Forum series, we will engage a broad range of stakeholders in the key issues impacting sustainable urban transportation so that future generations will be able to enjoy the freedom of mobility.
If one look at this years progress of General Motors, they could track out the point and success trying to achieve by the manufacturer. During the month of October, when the series of forums will be ended, the General Motors will publish the Roadmap to 2030 Blue Paper, which are the total of every fact as well as conclusion of the 6-month long event. General Motors is ready to attend the Expo 2010 along with the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. (SAIC). The American Manufacturer is trying to present its vision along with the carmaker that is the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation for the year 2030 mobility.
