If this news isn’t the start of a great weekend, we’re unsure what more car enthusiasts would need to go home from work with a big smile.
Lamborghini news is all riddled with the Urus these days – and for good measure, since production is just kicking off and the automaker is preparing the introduction of the non-concept version in the coming weeks. The boss, Stefano Domenicali, was recently interviewed and he reassured everyone the new SUV will reach its intended customers before the middle of 2018. Lambo wants to sell it below the €200,000 threshold and everyone already knows it’s the centerpiece of the brand’s strategy to almost double deliveries to 7,000 units by 2019.
The CEO was naturally asked about the firm’s plans moving forward, after the hotly anticipated SUV – itself a spiritual successor of the LM002 – aka Rambo Lambo – will not be the most talked about subject. Interestingly, it seems the niche supercar manufacturer is thinking about a four seat sports car, “in the 2025 to 2030 horizon; we are already thinking about it.” Even more so, it seems the timeless Miura is also in view – with a modern reinterpretation in the strategy chamber – though if it gets the green light we’ll have to wait more than half a decade for it, at the very best.
