Next month we’re getting another major international auto show – the one that Japanese automakers like to call “home” – so it’s only natural rumors are starting to mount up.
We’re now hearing from across the rumor mill the Lexus luxury brand is preparing something very interesting – following the introductions of the standard LS 500, the hybrid LS 500h, and the sporty LS F Sport, the automaker is preparing the reveal of the proper, performance flagship version, the LS F. According to a Japanese media reveal, the high-performance LS F is making the trip next month to the Tokyo Motor Show, with the styling looking very close to the aforementioned F Sport, but with larger everything – air vents, fenders, wheels and brakes, as well as other F exclusive elements.
Naturally, the most important novelty for the LS F is the beating heart from under the hood – Japanese rumors are pointing out towards the arrival of a completely new 4.0-liter V8 engine fitted with a pair of turbochargers, and all in all it should be good for a total of around 600 horsepower – which is about 185 hp more than what the LS 500 offers. The Tokyo Motor Show kicks off on September 25 and has already reached its 45th edition.
