ENERGY MOTOR SPORT has introduced its take on the eco-conscious BMW i8 supercar, with its UFO looks now looking ready to be used in the Back to the Future sequel/reboot that will never be produced.
Joke aside, what we have here is a BMW i8 that has adorned a matte chrome film wrap, with the pretty extensive modifications being awarded the “CYBER EDITION” label – though we’re still believing the tuner also had the idea of making it look more like a spaceship. It has been clad in a complete Evo body kit that comes nicely equipped with a completely reworked front bumper and bespoke front + rear over fenders. The already futuristic BMW i8 also gained a new rear wing and comes fitted with a set of 21-inch BBS forged concave wheels that make good use of their Pirelli P Zero tires. By the way, the special body wrap comes courtesy of P.G.D.
Under the hood the regular BMW i8 powertrain has been left untouched, so we’re still dealing with the standard plug-in hybrid setup that mates a three cylinder gasoline engine churning out 231 hp and 320 Nm of maximum torque, working together with an electric motor delivering another 131 hp and 250 Nm – for a grand total of 362 hp, enough to reach 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h. And all that while only needing on average 2,1 liters of petrol for every 100 kilometers.
